Invisalign® is one treatment option for addressing certain orthodontic concerns. It uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually move teeth as part of an orthodontic treatment plan.
Clear Aligners
Even if you aren’t familiar with Invisalign®, chances are you’ve met someone with them. That’s because the clear appearance of this corrective device is designed for practical invisibility. The aligners act similar to a mouthguard and are to be worn 20-22 hours a day.
Easily Removable
You are able to remove your Invisalign® to eat and brush and floss your teeth. They are designed to fit your teeth tight enough that they help to eventually straighten your teeth, but are not too tight that they can't be removed.
How they feel
Invisalign® aligners are made from a clear plastic material and are designed to be worn over the teeth as part of an orthodontic treatment plan. Some patients may experience temporary pressure, soreness or discomfort, particularly when commencing treatment or changing aligners.
How long it takes
Everyone’s teeth are different, so the time required varies from one patient to the next. It depends on the extend in which your teeth need to be moved or changed.
