This is because you are asleep during the entire procedure; Sedation or anaesthesia is used to induce sleep and reduce pain, awareness and recollection during dental procedures or surgery.
Sleep Dentistry is suitable for both adults and children; however, an initial consultation will always need to be undertaken. This is especially important for children as we need to ensure that they are suitable to be put under anaesthetic. You will be consulted with the dentist and anaesthetist.
Sleep Dentistry isn’t just used for major procedures such as wisdom teeth removal, it can be used for minor treatments such as dental cleans, exams, implants, fillings, root canals etc.
